Germany: launch of the "Piusplatz development" project on accessible urban environment

In close cooperation with municipal property management, Munich’s housing corporation GEWOFAG has put the project “Piusplatz development“ into practice. The project will develop a scheme which enables senior citizens to live, remain and be cared for in their familiar neighborhood. A combination of refurbishments, infill developments and upgrades is aimed at securing the social balance in a multi-generation community. Social care for the elderly and sick as well as family-friendly services are integral parts of this concept. The two new designs for residential buildings, which are to be built according to passive house standards, are embedded in the urban environment at Piusplatz. More information here (in German).
