Helsinki University – Palmenia Center for Continuing Education

The University of Helsinki Palmenia Centre for Continuing Education is the largest and most multidisciplinary unit of its kind in Europe. Through Palmenia, people can receive the latest research-based information and university-level expertise to support your personal development, or the development of their own organisation. In addition to Palmenias service packages, Palmenia design and carry out training as well as research and development projects together with the public sector, business world and other partners. Palmenia operates on a regional, national and international level. Palmenia is staffed by 250 professionals in the fields of continuing education, research and development. Over 11,000 students take courses through Palmenia every year, and the Centre is involved in roughly 100 research and development national and international projects. Palmenia organizes continuing education in all fields covered by the University of Helsinki.

National Institute for Health and Welfare

The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is a research and development institute under the Finnish Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.THL works to promote the well-being and health of the population, prevent diseases and social problems, and develop social and health services.THL is the statutory statistical authority in health and welfare and maintains a strong knowledge base within its own field of operations.
